About Brian

I grew up in a bilingual French-English household and have been teaching languages for more than 18 years. I’ve worked with students of different ages and levels, from high school learners to adults, professionals, and travelers.

My background allows me to explain French clearly from an English speaker’s perspective while also helping students understand how the language is actually used in everyday life. I aim to make lessons professional, approachable, and tailored to the individual rather than following a one-size-fits-all method.

About the lesson

My lessons are fully personalized around your goals, level, and learning style. I focus on practical communication and real-world use of the language rather than memorization, helping students build confidence speaking from the very beginning.

Lessons can include conversation, pronunciation, grammar, travel or professional French, and academic support for high school or AP/IB students. I also work with adults returning to French after years away from the language.

With more than 18 years of teaching experience and a bilingual French-English background, I adapt each lesson to keep progress focused, natural, and relevant to how you actually want to use French.

I was always insecure about my French but really wanted to take becoming fluent seriously. Brian delivers structured lessons but in a very relaxed environment. He also infuses culture and history that really brings the language alive. I'm a better speaker for it.

Brian helped me a great deal in becoming comfortable speaking French. I always struggled with the accent, and he patiently helped me ease into better French pronunciation. His warm demeanor and supportive teaching style really brought up my fluency.
