About Jade
Je suis étudiante en quatrième année à l'Université McGill, poursuivant des études d'économie et de relations internationales. Je viens de France, je suis né et j'ai grandi à Paris où j'ai fréquenté un lycée international. Je suis maintenant tuteur sur superprof depuis 1 an enseignant à 5 étudiants différents sur une base hebdomadaire. Tous mes élèves ont des niveaux différents, je sais parfaitement comment travailler en fonction des besoins de chacun.
Je donne des cours particuliers d'anglais et de français depuis trois ans maintenant, et dans différents contextes : tutorat d'élèves de l'élémentaire au lycée, enseignement à des adultes de différents pays (principalement du Moyen-Orient) à distance via Skype. J'ai également donné des cours particuliers à cinq étudiants par le biais de super prof l'année dernière, et je donne actuellement des cours particuliers à d'autres nouveaux étudiants cette année.

I am a fourth year student at McGill University, pursuing studies of Economics and International Relations. I come from France, was born and raised in Paris where I attended an international high school. I have now been a tutor on superprof for over 8 months, teaching to 5 different students on a weekly basis. All of my students have different levels, I know perfectly how to work depending on each and everyone's needs.
I have been giving private English and French lessons for three years now, and in different contexts: tutoring elementary to high school students, teaching adults from different countries (mostly Middle East) remotely through Skype. I have also been tutoring five students through super prof last year, and am currently tutoring other new ones this year.

Ma méthode d'enseignement varie en fonction des besoins des élèves. Je suis une tutrice très enthousiaste et expérimentée, tant avec les enfants qu'avec les jeunes adultes, et je crois que l'apprentissage d'une langue nécessite de la créativité et des interactions divertissantes, ce que je garantis dans mon style d'enseignement !
Pour les élèves qui ont besoin d'un soutien scolaire, mais qui sont actuellement inscrits à un cours de français (à l'école) :
- Faire un test rapide pour évaluer le niveau de l'élève et déterminer ses forces et faiblesses en anglais, afin de déterminer sur quoi se concentrer (vocabulaire, verbes, prononciation, écriture, compréhension orale...).
- Révision du matériel couvert en classe, évaluation de ce qui est compris et de ce qui doit être revu.
- Aide aux devoirs et préparation aux tests
Pour les élèves ayant besoin de cours particuliers :
- Évaluation du niveau de l'élève, de ses forces et de ses faiblesses.
- Une séance typique sera composée d'un "thème" (que nous pourrons décider ensemble, en fonction de l'intérêt de l'étudiant), afin de réviser le vocabulaire, les expressions... qui y sont liés.
- Les séances comprendront à la fois une partie théorique portant sur le vocabulaire, les verbes et les temps, et une partie plus pratique avec des dialogues interactifs, et des activités amusantes/divertissantes pour apprendre, mémoriser et pratiquer votre anglais !

My teaching method varies depending on students' needs. I am a very enthusiastic and experienced tutor, with both children and adults, and I believe that learning a language requires creativity and entertaining interactions, which I guarantee in my teaching style !
For students in need of tutoring, but who are currently enrolled in a French class (at school):
- Run a quick test to assess the level of the student and figure out the strengths and weaknesses in English, in order to determine what to focus on (vocabulary, verbs, pronunciation, writing, oral comprehension...)
- Review the material covered in class, assessment of what's understood and what needs to be reviewed
- Helping with homework and preparation for tests
For students in need of private lessons:
- Assessment of student's level, strength & weaknesses
- A typical session will be composed of a "theme" (that we can decide together, based on the student's interest), in order to review the related vocabulary, expressions...
- Sessions will include both a theoretical part pertaining to vocabulary, verbs, and tenses, and a more practical part with interactive dialogues, and fun/entertaining activities to learn, memorize and practice your English !
