About Britney
I am in my final year before teacher certification and have over three years of experience teaching multilingual and bilingual students. I speak both English and Spanish fluently, and I believe students learn best when their full language abilities are valued and supported.
My approach focuses on helping students truly understand concepts rather than memorizing information. I follow best practices in language acquisition and how children learn, and I aim to create lessons where students feel comfortable asking questions, thinking deeply, and using both of their languages as learning tools.
I am a patient, thoughtful teacher who works to build confidence and curiosity, especially for students learning academic content in more than one language.

I offer bilingual classes to reinforce science concepts from school in both English and Spanish. Mis clases desarrollan curiosidad e interés científico, y refuerzan el vocabulario y los conceptos en ambos idiomas. My classes are for students who speak or are learning both languages, and want to strengthen their use of both!
Students are encouraged to use both languages flexibly to ask questions, explain ideas, and build understanding.
