About Farah

I am a project researcher at The City University of New York - Initiative on Immigration and Education (CUNY-IIE).
CUNY-IIE creates opportunities for educational stakeholders to learn from immigrant students, families, and educators directly impacted by restrictive immigration policies and educational inequality.

I am a very dedicated person who values education, respects students' unique experiences, and appreciates their various backgrounds.

About the lesson

I first immigrated from Egypt to the United States at age 15 in 2008 and that is when my education journey started. I was fortunate to have had inspiring teachers and professors throughout my academic years. I have always dreamt to become an educator as inspiring as my teachers. I know exactly what students trying to learn and navigate their world through the English language and the kind of support they need.

I am a Bilingual Education Master's student at The City University of New York.
