About Daniel
I am an experienced Piano tutor with 12 years of teaching experience. I teach school students, college students, and working professionals and help them develop their skills through patient, practical, and personalized instruction.
I believe piano learning becomes easier when students understand the purpose behind what they are practicing. My lessons therefore combine technical training with music theory and practical application. I make sure students understand not only what to play but also why they are playing it.
I teach piano basics, posture, finger technique, scales, chords, rhythm, music notation, sight-reading, ear training, song learning, improvisation, and performance skills. I use demonstrations, guided exercises, and familiar songs to make lessons engaging and easy to follow.
My teaching philosophy is based on communication, understanding, flexibility, and motivation. I listen to students and pay attention to the areas where they need additional support. If a student finds a concept difficult, I explain it using another approach until it becomes clearer.
I also encourage students to practice with purpose. I teach them how to break a piece into sections, practice slowly, correct mistakes, and gradually improve their performance. These skills help students become more independent learners.
A notable achievement in my teaching journey is gaining nine years of experience working with students across different age groups and levels. This has helped me develop a flexible teaching style and the ability to adapt lessons to different personalities and schedules.
My aim is to make every lesson valuable. Whether your goal is to learn songs, improve technique, prepare for a performance, or simply enjoy playing piano, I provide structured guidance and encouragement to help you progress confidently.

My piano teaching methodology combines Adaptation to Learning Styles, Flexibility, Collaboration, and Positivity to provide structured but enjoyable lessons. I believe a good piano teacher should understand the learner first and then choose the most effective way to teach.
I assess each student's level, goals, musical interests, and areas that need improvement. Based on this, I create lessons that develop technique, musical understanding, and confidence. My piano lessons include posture, hand coordination, finger exercises, note reading, rhythm, scales, chords, sight-reading, and song practice.
I adapt my explanations according to the student's learning style. Some students may understand better through demonstrations, while others benefit from listening, writing, repetition, or practical exercises. I combine these methods to make learning clearer and more effective.
I also maintain flexibility in lesson planning. Students do not all progress at the same speed, so I adjust practice tasks and lesson difficulty according to their development. I give students enough time to understand difficult skills before moving forward.
Collaboration is encouraged throughout the learning process. Students can discuss their musical interests, ask questions, choose appropriate pieces, and set personal goals. This helps them become more responsible and involved in their own progress.
I use positivity to create a comfortable learning environment. Mistakes are treated as opportunities to learn, and I provide constructive feedback that encourages students to keep practicing.
Besides piano, I can teach music theory, keyboard skills, ear training, rhythm, chords, sight-reading, basic composition, and music appreciation. My goal is to build strong piano foundations while helping students enjoy music and develop lifelong musical confidence.
