About Shervin
My experience through the K-12 system, achieving top marks in classes and taking the most rigorous course load allowed me to grow as a student. Through my volunteer tutoring working with underserved children across my community, I value patience and understanding in my students, realizing that no one is the same and each person requires a specific and unique tutoring experience. These values alongside my extensive experience in STEM subjects allow me to give all my students a chance to better themselves and the community around them.

Although I am an incoming college freshman, I have been teaching for the past 8 years. I challenge my students to be their best selves, and work on problem solving skills. My methods allowed my students to work through a problem, win competitions, and better their grades. I have done high level research in computer science and biology, and have taken more than 15 AP courses, so I am well-versed in many topics. For those applying to college, I have the most up-to-date information, and can help in essay writing which helped accept me to top universities like Duke and Berkeley.
I am very patient in my style of teaching, asking questions from my students and giving them an opportunity to solve the problem themselves rather than them the answer. I also work well with kids as I am young myself, and I am always passionate about what we have to discuss in the class!
