About Tyler

I earned my Master of Engineering from Cornell University at 20 and was a President's Scholar who graduated college at the age of 16. This track record demonstrates not only my mastery of the subjects I teach—Math, Physics, and Programming—but also a superior ability to break down complex concepts and accelerate the learning process for myself and my students. I have proven my teaching skills as a Teaching Assistant at the college level, and my experience extends across a full range of students, from young beginners in 4-H programming to ambitious students targeting Ivy League universities. About the lesson

My teaching philosophy is simple: everyone can master programming and math, and my goal is to make these subjects accessible, engaging, and fun for all students. I'm genuinely excited to work with all ages and ability levels, tailoring my instruction to unlock confidence in every student.

My Teaching Method
A typical lesson is built on a foundation of engagement and targeted practice. We start with a quick review of the necessary concepts, but immediately move into applying that knowledge through high-impact problem-solving. I focus on "systems thinking": helping students break down any intimidating challenge—whether it’s introductory 4-H programming or a tricky algebra equation—into manageable, logical steps. I utilize my deep experience teaching students across the entire spectrum, from those in the 4-H program ranging from age 8 to 80, to quickly identify learning roadblocks and build confidence where it's needed most.

This broad experience allows me to be highly effective with any student. I can make subjects like C++ programming feel accessible and fun for a complete beginner, while also providing the focused, rigorous approach necessary for college students facing challenging exams or ambitious students preparing for highly competitive entrance programs. My ultimate goal is to build a robust, lasting foundation that allows any student to achieve accelerated mastery.
