About Talia

Hello! I'm Talia. I have a degree in applied math and physics. I also worked as a college-level tutor for 2 years during which I helped students with calculus, mechanics, thermodynamics, optics, and waves and energy. This past academic year, I taught first year physics course as a graduate student instructor. Some anonymous feedback I've received from my students: "SO AMAZING. About the lesson

I am invested in the success of my students and I value an intuitive understanding over surface-level "plug and chug". I prefer teaching with the Socratic method -- asking lots of questions! This is a very engaging way of learning and defending an assumption is a great way to build deeper understanding. I am here to help high school and lower division college students with: Math -algebra -pre-calc -calc 1, 2, multivariable, and ODEs -linear algebra -intro to proof writing Physics: -mechanics -thermo -optics -electricity and magnetism Some programming: -python -java
