About Anushka
Maths has always been a subject I have genuinely enjoyed and find extremely rewarding. I have achieved a 9 at GCSE Maths and an A at A-level Maths. The feeling of solving a tricky question simply brings me pure joy and satisfaction. Through tutoring, I aim to simply help others to experience the same feeling. By building a positive connection with the subject, students grow in both understanding and confidence while cultivating a mindset that empowers them to approach challenges with energy and resilience. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching methods and ensure to bring fresh perspectives to tackling challenging concepts. Whether you are aiming for top grades or seeking a stronger foundation, I’m can guide you every step of the way.

The typical length of a lesson would be 60 mins per session; however, flexible session lengths can be discussed to fulfil student need. Maths is all about understanding and then being able to apply. A typical lesson would consist of some recap questions from previous lesson's content. We would then discuss these and ensure that it is understood well. I would then move onto new content planned for that lesson. Starting off introducing key concepts, any essential formulae, this would be followed up by a couple of example/sample questions. I would then provide a mix of similar and challenging questions for the student to attempt independently within a time frame. I would then discuss this with the student in detail. I would end the lesson by setting some practice questions as homework and have a reflection session regarding the lesson to highlight what worked and what did not for the student. My goals and strategies include: - Personalised lessons tailored to individual learning styles and targets. - Ensuring lessons are interactive and unlock problem-solving abilities - Clear and easy to digest explanations of challenging concepts with real-world applications - Encouragement of active engagement and critical thinking
