About Sina

As a sharp memory of my early days, I recall my late father as an enthusiastic civil engineer and a principal of his civil contracting company. Thus I have found my true calling in civil engineering and to pursue my father’s path and to carry on his esteemed vocation and eventually as a bond between father and son.
I was graduated in 2014 with B.Sc. in civil engineering, following an associated degree in the same discipline, as a top student with a GPA of 18.48/20. I was also honored with a National talented student’s certificate, and I was granted my University’s scholarship. Due to the rules, I entered the master’s program without taking part in the nationwide entrance exam. In 2018, I finished my M.Sc.’s thesis under the supervision of Professor Hassan Haji Kazemi. My dissertation titled “Delay Management in Large Building Construction” was awarded as a “diploma prize” in the department of civil engineering. I also achieved a GPA of 18.33/20 in my master's course.
During and after graduation studies, I have accomplished researches regarding subject matters like effects of sugar beet molasses on concrete, seismic behavior of GFRP steel buckling restrained braces (BRB), structural economic optimization, risk identification, resource constrained scheduling, applications of genetic algorithms and fuzzy methods in project management, fuzzy VIKOR method for the analysis of high-rise structures, causes of project claims and delay which are manifested in C.V in details.
I was also a research assistant to Dr. Siamak Golnargesi, professor and dean of the department of civil and environmental engineering at my alma mater, concerning a book in earthquake engineering. I also experienced tutoring as a Teaching assistant, as mentioned. I deliberately attended extracurricular professional conferences, including the themes enlisted as mega projects, steel structure inspections, project management knowledge areas, concrete construction codes, risk management, seismic rehabilitation, research methods, and sustainability. I also co-authored two papers with Dr. Golnargesi, Professor Haji Kazemi and Dr. Alipour (all of them published) and two individual papers, both in preparation for submission to ASCE-related journals. Different professional work experiences provided me with the perspective and an opportunity for applications of theories learned in my school years. I recognize these field and office experiences essential as an effort to balance two scales of praxis and theory for every young engineer. To be more specific, in the latter positions, as project controller and estimator, I became well acquainted with large-scale concrete structures, building code requirements for such structures, and the verification process of structural shop drawings.
