About Bessie
I am currently in my second year of studying Behavioural Neuroscience at the University of British Columbia (though I am based in Victoria at the moment). During high school, I was part of my school's Peer Tutoring program for two years and was in charge of running Math Support for students every day. In addition to taking Advanced Placement Physics and Calculus in high school, I have also completed first-year university-level calculus courses.

During my tutoring sessions, I usually go for a problem solving/application-based approach. I will answer any questions the student may have regarding their school work but will let them work through the problems alone, occasionally providing insight and reminding them of the knowledge they have at their disposal when needed.
I am looking for students currently studying high school or middle school level math (grade 6 -12) that are looking to improve their math grades, receive help with questions, and gain a better understanding of the fundamental concepts in math.
