About Anastasia
I have been a student of the Russian language for almost 5 years now. Although I’ve never been to Russia or any Russian-speaking country, I’m constantly told by native speakers that they think I am Russian, or a Russian who has been living a while in the US, due to both my pronunciation and grammar. How did I make such quick progress with the language, especially considering that I’m self taught? By using a few specific techniques and approaches, I was able to teach myself the language without studying grammar books to straighten out my cases or submerging myself in the language (which of course is the easiest but not always the most practical method).

I approach this complicated language from multiple avenues, never sticking to just one learning method unless that is what is asked for by the student. Since I am not a native Russian speaker, I use the same methods that I used when learning to draw connections for my students, helping them to make quick progress and begin speaking, reading, writing, and understanding in no time.
