About Lydia
I have been studying and practicing Spanish for eight years and of those eight years, one of them has been in college as I work towards my bachelor's degree in Spanish and K-12 education. I am being trained in methods created and standardized by the American Council for Teachers of Modern Languages (ACTFL) and will use those methods in my lessons.

I will teach lessons for students who wish to learn beginner or intermediate-level Spanish. I have spent nearly two years taking education classes along with advanced Spanish classes in college and have developed methods that are proven to aid students in their language learning. I am being trained in methods established by the American Council on the Teaching of Modern Languages (ACTFL), an esteemed organization that aids teachers by providing standards and researched methods proven to be most effective in language learning.
The chief goal of the lessons is to help the student become more proficient in their communication of Spanish. A typical lesson will involve learning new vocab and grammar and how those can be applied within a communicative context. Using authentic resources, the student will practice reading, writing, listening, and speaking in Spanish to become more proficient in their communication. Lessons will be built around the student and the context in which they live or plan to live to make the content more applicable.
