About Bethanie

My name is Bethanie! I grew up in Colorado, and now I'm based out of Chicago. I studied Intercultural Studies and TEFL in my undergraduate studies. I got my M.A. in Intercultural Studies, as well. I've tutored individual students in French since 2021, and English since 2019. I was a teaching assistant for undergraduate courses at various times between 2018 and 2023. I love learning about new cultures and getting to teach people new things. I spend a lot of my time making friends, petting cats, and volunteering in my local community. I'm excited to get to know you!

About the lesson

First things' first, let's get to know one another! I will spend our first 1-2 lessons gathering your comprehension and language level in different subjects areas. Next, we will create REAL and attainable goals- together! I will then create lessons based on our set goals, and based on your particular interests. I want to know all about what you want to learn, why, and how we can best grow your skills.
In English, I tutor students of all ages and backgrounds. I've mostly helped high school and college students- but I love adult learners as well!
In French, I'm open to tutoring levels A1-B1.
Not sure what your level is? No problem! It's all incorporated in my process of creating lessons fit specifically for you!
