About Andrew

I enjoy tutoring and helping students realize that if they put the work in and commit to something, they can achieve anything they put their mind to. I have been a professional tutor for the past 6 years and have tutored many students who have gone on to pursue careers in mathematics, chemistry, engineering, and sciences. I excelled in mathematics in my high schooling and first and second year in university, unfortunately, I could not complete my chemical engineering degree at the time but I performed well in my mathematics and chemistry modules. I am now currently studying towards a Bcom accounting degree online which is flexible and won't affect my availability in my tutoring (I promise :))

I am able to tutor all syllabi in high school level and all types of mathematics in 1st and 2nd year university levels. I am a very patient, understanding, and highly skilled tutor which enables me to tutor a wide range of students, from students who are really struggling to bright students who want to achieve that A+ grading. My method of tutoring is very interactive and fun. I help students find joy in fully understanding the fundamental concepts thus allowing them to be fully confident in tackling any problem or question they may encounter. I believe if a student fully understands the methodology of a concept or theorem there will be no problem or question they cannot solve and that is the trick. I guarantee with hard work, determination, and a willingness to learn...all my students will excel.

About the lesson

I believe in practice makes perfect! I use interactive teaching and real-life examples when explaining concepts and theorems to my students. I ensure my students fully understand the basics before enhancing their skills with more challenging questions. I make the students understand the methodology in order for them to tackle any question or problem they may encounter instead of focusing heavily on examples and practice work. I am able to tutor in English and have a high vocabulary in the language.

Students can expect a very friendly, patient, understanding, and knowledgeable tutor who will help them excel with their studies. I ensure students stay engaged and enjoy the lessons through interactive and real-life examples when explaining the work. I ensure the groundwork is laid perfectly and give them enough work to practice and perfect the knowledge they have grasped during the lessons.

I am able to tutor mathematics from grade 6 level all the way up to 2nd year university level. I am also able to tutor chemistry in the same way and accounting up until grade 12 level.
