About Jordan
After six years of studying Composition at the Royal Northern College of Music and Royal Academy of Music, in 2007 I took a year-long course in Creative Leadership at the Royal College of Music, which taught me how to compose collaboratively, and how to respond to people in the moment, (which led to leading workshops with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, London Sinfonietta, etc.) I composed for some of the world's best performers, conductors, and orchestras, including the BBC Philharmonic, Hallé Youth Orchestra and Philharmonia. I've also performed and worked as Musical Director and Associate Creative Director with artists such as Lana Del Rey, FKA twigs, Years & Years, and brands such as Louis Vuitton, Valentino, ITV, Channel 4, Tate Britain, etc. I write and release my own songs (search Jordan Hunt wherever you stream music!) as well as recording some of my classical music with NMC records and the London Sinfonietta.

For me, teaching is listening. If you want to revive an old skill from childhood, are starting from scratch, or are an advanced player looking to hone your skills, we can find a way forward with a tailored course of study and guidance. Each individual pupil is unique, and I enjoy responding to your specific passions and needs to the best of my ability and wide-ranging experience. I teach beginners to more advanced pupils, ABRSM and Trinity exam prep. and everything in between, and whether or not you have a specific goal, we can discuss any aspect of lessons to find what best suits your focus. I've found over the last twenty years that there is no single approach that works for every pupil, and so will tailor our lessons appropriately as we continue to work and learn together. Over the past 20 years, I’ve consistently held a teaching position, and for good reason. It’s such a privilege to tutor and mentor pupils of all ages and to encourage them to achieve their goals. I teach from my studio in Whitechapel, E1 or online. For cases where you'd like me to travel to your place, I charge up to an hour's travel time fee. I'm looking forward to hearing from you!

Jordan has so far been a perfect violin tutor for me. He is punctual, his studio is great and I have learned a great deal of where I need to focus.
He seems to really enjoy teaching and I like his manners. Everything is simple and straightforward during his lessons.

Jordan is kind, patient, and a fantastic music teacher. I would strongly recommend Jordan as a teacher and I feel incredibly lucky to have met him and benefitted from his musical talent and teaching abilities.
Jordan is a fantastic music theory teacher, extremely patient and intuitive. He's taken me from Grade 1 theory through to Grade 6 where we're currently studying to supplement my singing. He has an answer to almost anything musical! Lessons are always fun, and I'd recommend him to anybody!
