About Soumi

Hello, I am Soumi. I am a UK-based PhD-qualified scientist with a strong background in Biology and Biomedical Sciences. With 10+ years of research experience, I enjoy making Biology clear, interesting and relatable. I offer Biology support for Indian students in Classes 5–12, including IGCSE Biology preparation and support for students in international and IB schools in India.

About the lesson

My online Biology classes are designed for students in Classes 5–12, including students in international and IB schools in India and those preparing for IGCSE Biology. Classes are conducted 'one-to-one' online for 45–60 minutes, depending on the student’s age and needs. I focus on building strong concepts rather than memorising answers, using clear explanations, diagrams, questions and real-life examples. Lessons are personalised to each student’s level, pace and learning needs, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions, participate and develop confidence.
