About Katy
I have formal experience and training tutoring students and as a teaching assistant with the University of Miami School of Law where I was a member of the Academic Achievement program. I was the teaching assistant for one particular subject matter and also aided in general study habits, test preparation, writing techniques and aid, and other issues for which students often seek additional help outside the classroom.
Additionally, I am the oldest in a very large family and I have for years helped my younger siblings with a wide array of subjects, classes, and other problem areas at all levels of proficiency. I am adept at catering my methodology, techniques/methods of instruction, and subject matter focus according to each student's different and particular needs.

I am proficient in the humanities and social sciences generally and am accordingly comfortable giving help to students of all levels in these academic areas; including but not limited to history, english, politics, law, international studies/relations, etc.
The degrees I hold are as follows: a B.A. Political Science, emphasis on international politics and a minor in American Culture Studies; a J.D. with a specialization in Business and Financial Law; and an MSc in International Relations (focus on economic, cultural, legal, and political relations between the United States and Latin America).
