About Quinton

Whilst at the Treasury Solicitor I learnt my most valuable lesson from a retiring solicitor of the Crown Estate about how to think about the law not what to think. This stance will stand you in good stead developing an analytic approach

About the lesson

My approach draws on the Socratic method: guided questioning and discussion to develop your understanding, legal reasoning and confidence in applying the law. We work through legal principles, cases and problem questions together, helping you examine assumptions, construct clear arguments and write well-structured essays.
Online lessons typically last one hour and are tailored to your course, level and priorities.
I am a qualified barrister and Scottish advocate, and a former UCL visiting lecturer and Honourary Research Fellow. My teaching at UCL covered the British legal system, planning regime and public consultation.
Lessons are for undergraduate law students, with specialist planning law and public consultation tuition also available for postgraduate students and adult professionals.
