About Emma
I am not dismissive of the difficulty of math and I was not born a genius. Through hard work and dedication, I have discovered new ways to approach math problems and learned analytical thinking skills which successfully took me to UCLA where I pursued my Bachelor's in Pure Mathematics. I also take care to work through the emotional aspects of learning with my students. Frustration, anxiety, depression, and loneliness are all problems that students face especially when taking on new challenges. I confront those problems head-on with my students to give them the confidence they need to stand on their own when coping with new challenges.

Teaching tailored to the student's maturity and individual needs. Experience working with students who suffer from learning disabilities such as dyslexia and ADHD.
Encourages and nurtures self accountability in students and helps them to identify and tackle challenges on their own.
Accepting middle school, high school, and university level lower division math students. Also offering college preparation and advising. Lower division includes the Calculus series (Calculus, Multi-variable Calculus, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations).

Details
Text assistance available for students age 14+. This is intended to give students who are comfortable asking for help more regular and intentional tutoring. Rather than waiting for help during a structured time, they can text me directly and receive live assistance with homework and practice exams as needed. Parent supervision (group text) required under age 16 unless otherwise discussed. Price negotiable.
