About Nathan

I have a passion for teaching. I helped teach classes as a teacher's assistant at my previous university, and also have real world experience applying math and physics as an engineer. I have worked with students just trying to get by in a class as well as students passionate about STEM fields and planning to work in them. I am confident I can help students at all levels learn to think in such a way they are able to do the work and be successful.

About the lesson

I deeply believe the best way for a tutor or teacher to aid in learning is to help the student figure out the answer for themselves. I will point out tools that the student has, ask good questions to prompt good thinking, and then if a concept is not understood spend the time to explain concepts first so the student can apply it.

I am able to provide tutoring for high school through early university (freshman/sophomore), including for STEM majors.

Excellent! He seemed to connect well with my son. Based on what I heard, I think that he is at a much higher level than where my son is and I think that was a little intimidating. Nathan was polite and professional.
