About Rohitha

Hi there! My name is Rohitha Madduluri; I am a rising senior studying at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill pursuing a major in Computer Science and minor in Statistics & Analytics with an interest in data science and software development.

At Carolina, I take part in various organizations that have allowed me to explore my personal and intellectual interests! I am part of multiple tech-related organizations that host a variety of events on campus such as Women in Computer Science and Carolina Analytics. Additionally, I am the co-founder of the newly established Kappa Theta Pi (a professional co-ed tech organization) Chapter at UNC and have worked closely with the National Board + UNC community to develop the social, academic, and professional aspects of this organization.

Outside of academics, I love engaging in innovative, people-oriented environments and keeping up with my non-technical interests! As Social/Cultural Chair of UNC's South Asian Organization called Sangam, I planned and executed events that I’m passionate about to spread South Asian culture to members, the campus, and the surrounding community. I also served as a member of the Undergraduate Executive Branch of Student Government and am a brother of the Scale and Coin Business Society. Some of my hobbies/passions include reading historical fiction and classics, running, and cooking!

About the lesson

I have a huge passion for teaching mathematics. It is a subject I feel entirely confident in, and this reflected in my ability to teach in a simple, yet highly effective manner to cater for students of all standards and abilities. Over the time I have tutored, I have built up extensive experience that has given me a variety of different teaching styles I can quickly draw upon to meet the needs of my students and pupils. I have excellent communication skills; I am flexible and adaptable in my approach to teaching, and I will always deliver positive results for your school based on the defined curriculum. One area I particular thrive in as a math tutor is when I need to explain difficult and challenging mathematical concepts to students and pupils who have historically struggled to grasp what is required. In situations such as these, I am patient, I am reassuring and I use simple, easy to understand methodologies to teach the subject in question.
