About Leo
Hey!
My name is Leo and I'm a Bachelor of Science student in the University of Canterbury, majoring in Chemistry. I am at the executive board for the Chemistry Society at university and have undertaken Scholarship Chemistry at high school.
I am currently taking Biochemical studies, and am aiming to find jobs in Medicinal Chemistry post graduation. I'm relatively easy-going and prefer a learning style that will make you feel more comfortable in your chosen study, through interactive learning, rather than reading straight from textbooks.
If you have any questions, feel free to send them through, I'll be available to answer them relatively quickly, and can adapt to your needs more.
Thanks for taking the time to read through this, and I hope that your study goes well!

My typical technique for a tutoring session would involve detailed explanations on the processes occuring, and additional background information as to why they occur, in a friendly and encouraging manner.
I will also aim to answer any other queries or curiosities regarding the field of study, and provide background, explaining real life examples to help clarify the relevance and role of these processes in a global scale.
Then sessions will be concluded with a brief, low intensity test on the content that has been covered, allowing students the chance to revise the covered content. I will then summarize with the strengths that the student is displaying, as well as any other areas that may require work, and can provide resources to aid with this.
The typical length of a session will be anywhere up to an hour, however can be relatively flexible depending on the student's needs.
Current experience as a tutor lies within study groups and clubs in the University of Canterbury, and assisting family and friends with their studies.
These lessons are ideal for NCEA students focusing on chemical or scientific studies, however I can also provide support with Mathematics, Physics and Spanish
