About Omar
Hello! Welcome to my classroom. My name is Omar and my students call me Omi. My education is in the natural sciences and my goal is to make science easy and fun. I have an Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto, with high distinction, in Biology and Psychology. I have several years of experience tutoring different subjects, some of which include chemistry, biology, English, physics, and basic math. I have worked with students of all ages, making connections that have allowed me to help my students achieve their goals and improve in their studies. I have my TESOL certification and am familiar with different teaching methods and have taught hundreds of students. I have always inspired and motivated my students to do their very best. As a tutor, my approach allows students to ask questions regarding confusing content. I intend to make complex concepts easy using relatable examples and questions. These lessons will involve a concept review followed by practice questions. The lessons will be for students in middle school and high school. I intend to use props to make the lessons fun and interactive. Not only do I teach, but I try to be a mentor and someone my students can use as a guide on their journey. Students can message me in advance of bookings to send me any concepts they have trouble with or homework questions they need help with, so that I can develop a lesson plan. Students can also drop in for help.
