About Alexia

Completed Music Degree 2025
Almost finished the 2x Double Majors is Pedagogy and Composition.

I am currently completing a Master of Teaching (Secondary) at ACU.

These classes have provided me with knowledge of the Scientific benefits of being able to play Piano.

Learning music has taught me that it will improve cognitive abilities like: - memory - attention - problem-solving skills - enhance confidence/creativity as it requires precise motor control and coordination. Regular piano practice improves hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, and finger dexterity. Additionally, playing the piano can reduce stress and anxiety, plus enhance mood and emotional well-being.

Taking Piano Lessons from Myself will allow my students to cultivate discipline, focus, and patience, while also providing them with a lifelong skill and appreciation for music.

I would l o v e to teach students composition as it is not being taught enough at schools. This subject will allow them to understand why music scores are the way they are, it is important to understand the overall intention of the composer, mood, historical context, artistic choices such as motifs, placements of accents etc. I highly believe these skills are important as they allow them to develop creativity, develop critical thinking skills, and learn to effectively communicate their thoughts and emotions through music.

About the lesson

Specializing from beginners to Advanced level What I Can Teach? - Practical Piano (if needed, can be online) - Music Theory/History - Composition Teaching AMEB syllabus, in preparation for AMEB Exams in both Piano and Piano for Leisure. Lessons tailored to each student's ability and age Lessons will be held in Coburg or online.

Perfect! My child really enjoy the piano lesson with Alexia. The lesson is flexible and cater to the need of my teenager at the same time with clear structure and goal setting for him to follow through during the week. No need to remind the child to practice as playing the music he like doesn't feel likes a chores.

She would provide numerous worksheets for various topics. When Mitch had his first session with her, she asked questions to get to know him and his passions in life and to see what he knows and does not know in a short quiz/test. In order for her to tailor their sessions together. 100% would recommend! !!
