About Lydia
Rigid posture and poor hold often prevent the bow from traveling in a smooth, clear arc across the strings. 60-minute sessions focus on the physical sensation of relaxed movement to ensure every note resonates fully. My RCM syllabus fluency helps me guide adults and youth through Grade 1 to 10 requirements with total clarity. Tuning by ear becomes a natural habit through my specific, repetitive exercises.
We address these mechanical hurdles so the music can speak for itself. Witnessing a student solve a difficult passage brings a rewarding sense of accomplishment.

Bowing technique, shifting positions, and intonation form the core of my violin instruction. 13 years spent refining these precise mechanics have shaped my approach as a symphony musician.
My Bachelor of Music from Humber College and RCM Grade 10 standing inform every technical correction I offer.
