About Nicholas
Graduating from Berklee College of Music with my Bachelor of Music in Music Performance provided the foundation for the 13 years of instruction I provide today. It is quite a process starting someone on guitar, moving from simple power chords to complex scales and modes. I treat the instrument as a disciplined pursuit while keeping the technical demands of fingerpicking and barre chords clear.
My background includes 13 years of helping students navigate grade exam prep and reading sheet music. I find that focusing on electric technique and strumming patterns consistently builds the necessary competence for any guitarist.

Focus is the primary tool. We address the nuances of chord transitions within the first 10 minutes of every meeting.
This disciplined environment ensures that your time is spent refining mechanical movements rather than just playing through songs. I monitor your progress through specific technical checkpoints established during our time together.
Developing a firm grasp on music theory requires 9 different levels of systematic practice. You will find that these rigorous habits translate into better control on the fretboard.
Expect a direct critique of your playing mechanics to ensure accuracy. My methods prioritize technical stability over quick fixes. We will work through challenges with a steady and logical progression of difficulty.
