About Rachel
Having earned my Bachelor of Music in Contemporary Music with a focus on guitar, do you want to play with real Latin soul? I have spent 22 years honing my craft since leaving Guadalajara. My teaching draws on skills like reading sheet music and tabs for performance-focused students and hobbyists. Over my career, I have mentored many students through the complexities of fingerpicking and chord transitions. I rely on my deep background to explain rhythm clearly. You will find my style is groove-first and always energetic. My approach keeps things moving while respecting the technical demands of the instrument. Learning this way helps you internalize the feel of the music. I aim to keep your progress steady and fun.

You will become a better player by ignoring the written tab occasionally. True musicianship requires finding the pulse of the song yourself. I provide custom backing tracks so students can practice soloing at home with confidence. These tracks mirror the nuances of the Latin guitar style I have played for 21 years. Advanced learners find this method pushes them into new creative territory. We will work together until your technique matches your musical vision.
