About Nthabiseng

I am a Bachelor of education graduate from the University of Pretoria. I am currently residing in Free State, South Africa. I believe that I have always loved sharing knowledge with others since from a young age. My friends and I used to play "school" at the backyard of my home. I will be teacher and they will be learners and I do not recall the time where I was one of the learners. I was always the one teaching. I used to mark their papers and gave them feedback. Little did I know that 10 years later I will be teacher. I think that is where the love and passion originated and I was not aware. I also love teaching because I believe is one of the professions that allows one to make a difference in creating a better society and not many professions allow that and to me this gives me an enormous satisfaction. The most amazing part about the profession is that students do not only learn from me but I can learn from them too.

About the lesson

In my English class, I engage learners with lessons that help them with grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and articulation. I will also make use of everyday examples and topics of their interests. I believe this will help my learners feel comfortable, confident and fluent in speaking English. I know it is not easy to learn a language, so, in my class I try to be as relaxed, patient and open-minded with learners in this way I believe I am allowing my learners to feel free in making mistakes and even learn better.
