About Zenzile

Hallo my name is Zenzile Mthembu but you can also call me zee ( teacher zee), I am so happy to meet you.
Now let me tell you more about myself, I’m 29 years old and I am from South Africa I have obtained a diploma in grade R teaching and also obtained a bachelor of education in foundation phase. I have been teaching young learners for 3 years and I love my job. I am enthusiastic about education and always strive to do the best for my students. I am able to take on responsibility for learning and have experience of successfully managing a class. I also have the enthusiasm and determination to ensure that I make a success of this role.

About the lesson

My teaching philosophy is that all children are unique and must have a stimulating educational environment where they can grow mentally, emotionally, and socially.it is my desire to create this type of atmosphere where students can meet their full potential. I believe that it is my responsibility to be an effective teacher to the students; I believe that I must act as a guide. I use a hands-on technique and am approachable to my students. I incorporate fun into my lessons when possible. And while my easy-going style is suitable for many subjects and grades, I am also able to adapt my style to the needs of the student. For instance, if I have students that are not comfortable with independent learning, I employ the facilitator style of teaching that calls for a student-centered learning approach. I am able to adopt a variety of different styles of teaching when they are suitable to a particular situation and to meet the needs of the students. I won’t only focus on classroom times but I will find things that students are interested in and try and incorporate those in the lesson, to always have learner’s participation and interest because when they are bored nothing goes in, nothing is absorbed. My classroom is a learner- centered space; I believe that they should be multiple opportunities for each learner to shine. I know that I have student who learn better by reading, some with writing, some with images and music etc. so my classroom has an incorporation of all these things. I also know my studies strengths and weakness, and consistently find opportunities to help them to improve and also challenge them because I will have higher level students and lower level students. It my duty to successfully guide students through the learning process. Everyone in a classroom contributes as a students and teacher, both thinker and learner.
