About Delaney
My name is Delaney McBride, and I received my bachelor's degree in chemistry from Miami of Ohio. After spending a summer working in a food lab, I realized my true passion is working with other's in a collaborative, fun, engaging environment, which is why I decided to become a high school teacher! I then went to Lewis University where I received my master's in secondary education with a content area of chemistry. I have taught honors chemistry and regular chemistry classes at high schools surrounding me. I love to spend time with students and facilitate their learning as they explore their minds and the world around them.

I love to encourage students to think outside the box in order to solve problems and critical think. I begin my classroom lessons by starting off with what students know, and then figuring out what the student is trying to discover. My ideal lessons are for high school chemistry, but I have worked as an all-subject tutor for all-grades. I know a substantial amount of math, as I have served as a math ACT/SAT prep tutor as well. I am great at finding unique avenues and approaches that allow students to really connect the dots where they are struggling. The end goal is that my students can not only understand the concepts, but be able to apply them to solve problems and think outside the box about the world they are living in!
