My tutoring style is clear, supportive, and tailored to your needs. I aim to build both intuition and technical confidence — whether we're tackling macroeconomic theory, econometrics, or applied problem sets. We can start with a free 30-minute session to get to know each other and discuss your goals. After that, sessions typically run for an hour, though I’m flexible depending on what works best for you. I’ve taught macroeconomics, time series econometrics, and advanced quantitative methods at both undergraduate and graduate levels, and have received two teaching awards in recognition of my work with students. These sessions are best suited for undergraduates, master’s students, or anyone with a background in economics looking to strengthen their understanding.

Recommendations come from relatives, friends and acquaintances of the teacher
I was introduced to Thomas by a friend. He tutored me advanced macroeconomics and was honestly one of the best teachers I’ve ever studied with. He knows the subject super well, whatever questions I had, theoretical or coding related, he can explain them very clearly and often gave some intuition which I found extremely useful. He’s incredibly patient, kind, and really cares about making sure you understand the material. I felt very comfortable asking questions and expressing my thoughts. Sessions are very productive, very efficient, I learned so so much more than from all the lectures. I’d definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a great tutor!
Thomas ran my Time-Series Econometrics tutorials at UCL. He explains things in plain English, answers questions quickly, and never makes you feel silly for not getting it first time. Thanks to his clear walk-throughs of ARIMA and cointegration I felt ready for the exam instead of overwhelmed. Reliable and easy to talk to—happy to recommend him.
I had the pleasure of having Thomas as my tutor for Master's-level classes at UCL in econometrics and time-series. I can definetely say that he is an exceptionally trustworthy tutor. He consistently demonstrated not only a deep knowledge of the subjects but also a genuine commitment to supporting my progress. Overall, the experience of working with him, encouraged me to continue my studies with a PhD in economics.
Another reason I trust Thomas as a tutor is his professionalism and reliability (which for me is essential). He was always punctual for our sessions, prepared with relevant materials, and communicated clearly about changes to our schedule. Also, he consistently follows up on topics covered, offering extra help and resources if needed.
I was introduced to Thomas by a friend. He tutored me in advanced macroeconomics, a subject which I did not understand much from the lectures at Uni. Thomas offered so much help on this, I can confidently say he’s one of the best teachers I’ve ever had.
Thomas has tremendous understanding of economics. I was struggled with basically everything from modeling to numerically solving the models at the time, he always had a way to break things down in a way that made tremendous sense.
And a huge plus is his character. He’s patient, kind, fun, and genuinely cares about my progress. He never made me feel rushed or embarrassed about asking questions. I made so much progress with him and the enviroment is just very supportive and comfortable the entire time.
So yes, I highly recommend Thomas!Thomas has been a great tutor for me. He's super easy to engage with and is very good at breaking down more complex concepts in digestible ways!
