About Soph

I am a graduate from Interlochen Arts Academy where I studied creative writing and theater. I've always had a deep passion for the arts, which continues to play a large role in my volunteer/non-profit work. I'm a passionate activist, vegetarian, and cat mom. I'm attending university through Barrett, the Honors College at Arizona State University. When not teaching or volunteering, I love hosting game nights, listening to podcasts, binging the same series for the 10th time, and spending time in the sun.

About the lesson

I take an individualistic approach to my teaching, meeting students where they're at and focusing on their goals while taking into account any time constraints they may have.

I can help with word count, phrasing, editing, vocabulary, grammar, ESL, creative writing, essays/nonfictional pieces, journalism, and more.

I have experience with youth and adult students, and come from a rigorous school that prepared me the best.

I have knowledge about submitting to writing competitions and making your work stand out to magazines and teachers alike.

I believe in making learning fun and bringing in other interests to each lesson to enhance education.
