About Timothy
Originally from Montreal, I received my B. Mus from the University of Southern California (U.S.C.) where I studied with William Kanengiser, Scott Tennant, and Pepe Romero, among others. I then completed an Artist Diploma while teaching on faculty at McGill University's Schulich School of Music. Since then, I have played lead electric guitar in a touring Indie rock band, and taught numerous RCM Gold Medal-winning students of various ages and levels. Though I am thrilled to help students prepare for auditions, exams, or recitals at the Conservatory, College, or University level, it always remains my pleasure to help students who simply wish to enjoy themselves learning music through the guitar. I look forward to working with you!

Whether you seek preparation for a competition, audition, recital or exam, I firmly believe that you must love the music you choose to play in order to preserve your enthusiasm while practicing, and project your passion when performing. However, at more advanced or professional levels, sometimes pieces of music are imposed on us as musicians. For those of you working at these stages of your musical development, we would discuss performance practices and strategies that would allow you to deliver a convincing and musically expressive performance of any work (regardless of how you may feel about the music you might be faced with!).
