About Angelina
Have you ever wondered why the greats sound so distinct when they pick up an acoustic? I have spent 7 years sharing the nuances of improvisation and soloing alongside the grit of blues progressions with students who want to break out of pentatonic jail. My work at the University of North Texas solidified my BMus in Jazz Guitar, which informs how I approach teaching fingerpicking and lead guitar techniques to beginners and intermediate players. Reading sheet music and tabs is a standard part of our work, but I always prefer to let the music speak for itself.

Sometimes I find that simplicity beats technical speed every single time. My 7 years of gigging across the Boston area taught me exactly what matters on stage.
I hold a degree in BMus Jazz Guitar from the University of North Texas. We work on acoustic and electric technique using history as our guide.
I always provide free chord charts and tab sheets after each class. These materials help you practice the old school blues methods. Seeing students connect with the soul of the genre is truly enjoyable.
