About Jason
Hi there, I am Jason and I'm a Y1 student at NTU studying Maritime Studies. I wanted to teach as I am passionate about helping others. In fact, in secondary school, my dream job was to be a teacher, to influence the next generation to grow to become highly capable individuals. In my personal experience, I felt that many school teachers treated teaching too much like a job and would do only what is required of them. This leads to students not learning effectively and often confused at the end of classes. I want to reassure my students that this goes against my beliefs and I go out of my way to prioritize my students and their learning

I assess each student and adjust to teach them in a manner that is most suitable to their learning style. This ensures they are able to learn most effectively as each child learns differently from their peers. For the lessons, I would assess his weaker topics and work on topical questions with him until he improves. I will then move on to ask him to do more advanced questions in his own time to see if he has understood his mistakes. I will then move on to practice papers for him to do at home to mimic exam conditions once I am confident he has learnt from his mistakes.
I am also patient and like to break down complex ideas that students struggle with into smaller ones that are easy to understand. I am also open to your child asking me questions he has difficulties with on Whatsapp and will do my best to help him improve
