About Vishmi

I am a UWA student studying a Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences with direct entry into Medicine. I am talented at learning & teaching Maths.

Over the last 3 years, I have been teaching Maths for 10 students from years 3 to 10. These students have displayed a significant improvement in their results. For example, one student was able to improve their results from the mid-80s to high 90s after receiving tutoring from me. I was also able to help another of my students go from near-failing maths to achieving mid-70s. Most of my students are now scoring in the high 80s-90s range. Thus, I'm proficient at ensuring results for students from a range of skill levels.

In terms of tutoring experience overall, I have been teaching 6 subjects for a total of 18 students over the last three years. These students have come from a range of skill levels and age groups. All these students have displayed a significant improvement in their results. Furthermore, I have helped my students to develop and improve a multitude of soft skills such as confidence, work ethic, and creativity. I am extremely proficient in helping students achieve their goals and in helping them develop a love for learning.

About the lesson

My teaching method predominantly consists of following the course concepts and tackling each concept one by one. Teaching shall be delivered via oral means, presentations and hand-outs.

I am also willing to tackle students' individual miscellaneous concepts/questions. Furthermore, I am happy to review assessments and work through homework, so that I and the student can tackle any difficulties and clear up ambiguous concepts.

With younger students, I will communicate with their parents and provide them feedback about the student's progress. I will also reach out to parents if I have any particular concerns about the student's progress. I provide parents with semesterly reports on their student's progress which are very in-depth and extensive.
