About Phoebe
I am an enthusiastic, well-rounded tutor who studies a Bachelor of Neuropsychology (Honors) and Speech and Hearing Sciences. I also have a passion for creative writing and English, with my English Extension II piece being a creative non-fiction! Besides working as a tutor and ESL teacher I also work as a swim teacher, Pilates instructor and barista! I have worked around the world including: - ESL University teaching in Kagoshima, Japan - ESL teaching and Refugee Support Work in Halle, Germany - Support Working and Interning as a Neuropsychology Research Assistant in Dublin, Ireland.

I like to personalize my lessons to the individual student's needs and their learning style and abilities. With a focus on active listening and communication, I tailor lesson plans around School Syllabuses, a student's development areas and in a way where information is fun to learn and, therefore, easier to remember and recall during exams, assignments and in class discussions. Typical Length of a Lesson: Approximately 30-60 minutes depending on the student's needs, attention span, learning style and schedule. Qualifications/Experience: - 2 years as an English, Biology and Mathematics Tutor at Empowered Tuition. - 2 years as a Private English, IPT, Biology, Science and Math Tutor. Age/Grade Levels: I have experience and am available to tutor all ages from pre-kindy to year 12 or first-year university students.

Phoebe taught my 4 year old daughter when she was only just starting swimming lessons and I could not have asked for a better instructor!! She was patient, enthusiastic and I would recommend her for any parent who is struggling getting their kid to feel confident around water
As a previous student of Phoebe I cannot recommend her enough! She got me through my final 2 years of HSC Biology and helped me get a Band 6!! I have now gone on to study Medical Science at University and would never have developed a passion for it without having Phoebe there to guide me through the subject and make it enjoyable :))
