About Ashley
I spent three years as an English tutor at the Reedley College tutorial center and the writing center. I have had many students who began English 125 and 126 with me. By the time they were done with both classes, many were excelling in English 1A and 1B. Many continued confidently in their college writing with my lessons.

I am well-versed in creative and competitive writing. I used to tutor in the writing center at Reedley College, which is a community college. During my time there, I earned my AA in liberal studies. Much of my free time there was in the tutorial center helping my fellow students. Helping others learn the written English language can be very challenging, as there are many rules and different styles of writing. Proper grammar and comprehension are very different from the way we speak in our everyday life. Readers nowadays require a much more down-to-earth approach when writing. Text-to-speech has really changed the way people write and read. Texting language is what I most often see. But when a student of mine finally learns what it means to be literarily confident and comfortable with their content, it is what I strive for.
