About Rakesh

Hello! I’m Rakesh Parmar, a passionate and dedicated math tutor with a Master’s degree in Data Science with Distinction from Middlesex University, London, and I’m currently pursuing my MBA at Maynooth University. I have over four years of experience teaching mathematics to students at various levels, including Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate. I love teaching because it gives me the opportunity to help students understand challenging concepts, solve problems confidently, and develop a genuine enjoyment for learning. My approach is personalized and student-focused, combining clear explanations, step-by-step problem solving, and real-world examples to make math approachable and engaging. I aim to build both academic skills and confidence, ensuring that students not only achieve great results but also feel motivated and curious about learning. About the lesson

I take a personalised and supportive approach to private tutoring, helping each student gain confidence and clarity in mathematics. I hold a Master’s degree in Data Science with Distinction from Middlesex University, London, and I’m currently pursuing my MBA at Maynooth University. Alongside my academic background, I have over 4 years of experience teaching mathematics to students at various levels.

My lessons are designed around the individual needs of each learner — whether it’s preparing for Junior Cycle, Leaving Certificate, or improving general maths skills. I use a mix of real-world examples, step-by-step explanations, and interactive problem-solving to make even challenging topics easier to grasp. I also focus on developing exam strategies, logical reasoning, and confidence, ensuring students not only understand the material but can apply it effectively.

A typical session lasts about 60-120 minutes, though I’m flexible depending on the student’s goals and attention span. Each lesson begins with a quick recap, followed by focused practice and real-time feedback to track progress.

My goal is to make maths approachable, enjoyable, and meaningful — helping every student achieve their best possible results.
