As a tutor, my approach is rooted in empathy, creativity, and clarity. I’m an education major currently studying to become a certified English teacher, and I bring both my academic training and a deep passion for language arts to every session. I focus on creating a supportive, engaging environment where students feel safe to take risks, ask questions, and grow.
Each lesson is student-centered and aligned with learning standards. A typical session might start with a short, fun warm-up related to the topic, followed by direct instruction using visual aids or examples. Then we apply that learning through interactive activities like writing prompts, close reading, or games. I always close lessons with a quick reflection or check-in to assess understanding and plan next steps.
What sets me apart is my ability to connect with students on a personal level. I understand how overwhelming school can feel, so I focus on building confidence through encouragement and small wins. I also use creative tools, like movie clips, music, and storytelling to make abstract concepts more relatable.
My lessons are ideal for middle school students (grades 6–8) who need support in English Language Arts—whether they’re struggling with reading comprehension, essay writing, or just want to strengthen their voice and vocabulary. I'm especially effective with students who benefit from a more engaging, flexible learning style.
