About Al

- I’m a freelance artist with experience in figure drawing, graphic design, illustration, character design for animation, and concept art. - I have worked in 2D, 3D and am familiar with industry standard software. - I’m teaching Drawing and 2D Digital Art at George Brown College in the Game Art program.

About the lesson

- First, you will learn perspective drawing (one point, 2 points) and how to draw 3D objects in space using primitive shapes.
- Next, you will learn environment design, environmental perspective, and how to create a simple environment.
- After that, you will move to figure drawing and human anatomy.
- Finally, we will do an assessment and discuss your next goals.

These lessons are targeted towards those interested in a career in illustration, graphic novels, and art fundamentals.

I've been taking art and design lessons with Al, and it's been an amazing experience. We got to know each other when I was looking to improve my skills and explore new techniques, and Al came highly recommended.

Al's teaching style is super engaging and supportive. He's really great at making complex concepts easy to understand and always encourages creativity. One time, we worked on a mixed-media project together involving watercolor and ink. I was struggling with how to blend the two mediums seamlessly, but Al patiently guided me through the process, showing me specific techniques for layering and texturing that made the piece come together beautifully.

I highly recommend Al to anyone looking to enhance their art and design skills. He's knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely invested in helping his students succeed. If you want to learn in a fun and inspiring environment, Al is the tutor you need.
