About Tor
I am an LGBT+artist and educator in Chicago. I've taught in-person and remote comics classes, poetry after school lessons in middle schools, and assisted with art camps at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. I've had comics and illustrations published in several places, including When I Was Me: Stories of Trans Euphoria, and Immigratitude: Tales of Asian Immigration. After my BFA, I received a scholarship for a BIPOC Center of Cartoon Studies workshop, which has continued my art practice.

I approach every lesson with the intentions to make connections between the participants. Then we work on our open mindset: being able to accept new information and new failures. Then we have fun! I do not believe in one correct way to do anything, so we try to talk about best practices as foundations to push participants forward.
