About Amanda
I have a bachelor's and master's degree in art history. I'm originally from a small town in SC and moved to NYC in order to be a part of the art world. I've working in major galleries and with art professionals for almost 8 years. I wrote my thesis on Ai WeiWei's use of accumulation in installation works and have sinced helped many students with contemporary research methods.

Art History is the history of society as told through art. My approach is to help tell and story and build context in which these works were created. After that I move to other methodologies that coincide with the different movements, such as colorism or symbolism. I have found that when a work of art has a story attached, it makes it easier to remember.
