About Nicholas
"Fourteen years of refined studio practice informs my instruction, supporting a lineage rooted in Curtis Institute standards while welcoming students who learn differently. I have successfully guided 20 students to distinctions at Grade 8 or above in RCM exams. Instruction covers ABRSM and Trinity exam prep, scales, arpeggios, and ear training alongside posture, hand position, and accompaniment.
I emphasize hand independence, pop and contemporary styles, jazz improvisation, pedaling, dynamics, and expression to ensure students play music they enjoy. My practice adapts notation and rhythm for students with ADHD, autism, or dyslexia."
