My start in music came through the study of violin at the Schulich School of Music before I expanded into guitar and voice. I hold a BMus from the UBC School of Music.
This academic training ensures that I teach guitar with the same rigor applied to classical instruments. Over 13 years, I have taught 148 students including many busy working professionals and returning learners. My primary focus is on developing electric technique, lead guitar proficiency, and complex rhythm patterns. I enjoy helping students master scales and modes so they can understand the fretboard deeply.
