About Audrey
Many students feel overwhelmed when they stare at a blank page during a mechanism drawing problem. Organic chemistry is essentially a visual language that requires a specific type of mental fluency to decode effectively. I rely on my background in medical school to explain why certain functional groups behave the way they do in biological systems. We will focus on carboxylic acids, amines, ethers, and NMR spectroscopy through a structured lens.
You can expect 10 minutes of direct instruction followed by active problem solving where I observe your logic in real time. One key component I provide is weekly mechanism drills with feedback which ensures you do not fall behind on critical topics. These sessions are designed to build your confidence through iterative practice and precise technical correction. My 2 years of experience have taught me exactly how the AAMC tests these specific mechanisms on the exam.
We will strip away the confusion together and replace it with a set of reliable tools for your success. I look forward to working through these complex pathways with you until they become second nature.

Completing my 4th year as a Doctor of Medicine candidate at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine has given me a front row seat to the specific demands placed on science students today. You will find that my approach prioritizes high level conceptual clarity over simple rote memorization.
During my 2 years of experience tutoring organic chemistry, I have guided students through complex synthesis pathways and curved arrow notation with consistent success. My academic path has solidified my ability to break down reactions for those who feel lost in the mechanisms. I translate difficult carbonyl chemistry and aromatic theory into a language that feels manageable and logical. I help you see the patterns so clearly that the exam becomes a straightforward application of these core principles.
