About Ewan
My passion for architecture began with curiosity about how spaces influence emotions, behaviour, and everyday life. This fascination led me to complete a B.Arch in Architectural Design, followed by an M.Arch in Urban Sustainability, where I explored both creative studio practice and responsible modern planning. Over the past 10 years, I have guided students through architecture with a teaching style that combines warmth, structure, and deep respect for individual creativity. Teaching architecture has shown me how powerful design education can be when students feel supported rather than pressured.
My approach is patient, adaptable, and concept-driven. I help students break down complex projects into clear steps, from early sketches to final presentations. I encourage learners to ask questions freely, explore their ideas confidently, and build strong design habits through consistent practice and thoughtful critique.
Outside tutoring, I remain engaged with architecture through sustainability research, urban design exploration, and continual portfolio development. Teaching architecture is meaningful because I see students transform uncertainty into creative clarity. Supporting learners as they discover their design voice is one of the most fulfilling parts of my work.

Architecture becomes inspiring when students realise it is not only about buildings, but about shaping human experience through thoughtful design. In my lessons, I help learners explore architectural principles such as form, space, proportion, light, material use, and functional planning in a way that feels creative yet structured. Each session encourages students to think like designers, balancing imagination with logic and technical understanding. I guide students through the process of turning abstract ideas into clear visual concepts, supporting them in sketching, conceptual development, and design reasoning. My goal is to help architecture feel approachable, expressive, and deeply meaningful rather than overwhelming.
Lessons are tailored to each student’s level and academic needs. Beginners focus on foundational drawing skills, basic design language, spatial awareness, and creative confidence. Intermediate learners develop stronger project organisation, model planning, architectural theory understanding, and digital presentation skills. Advanced students work on portfolio refinement, studio critique preparation, sustainable design strategies, and complex design narratives. Each lesson includes supportive feedback, structured guidance, and encouragement to grow creatively.
Architecture lessons also build discipline, observation, and confidence in self-expression. Students learn how to communicate ideas visually and think critically about space. My mission is to help learners develop both artistic identity and professional architectural thinking.
