About Carrie
As a professional interior designer and architecture graduate student, I work hard to maintain professionalism in my writing and communication with clients and colleagues. I have experience tutoring and note-taking from my undergraduate degree, and have a passion for the English language. I am an avid reader, writer, and enjoy getting to know students and helping them meet their goals. As someone who has utilized tutors in my education for math and science, I understand the need for compatibility between instructor and student. Let's get to know each other!

I want to get to know how you learn so I can customize our time together to best suit your needs. A typical lesson with me will include an introduction going over our content for the day, the expectations we both have for each other during the lesson, and our goals for the lesson. As we move through content, you can expect real-world examples relating to the content, lots of laughs, and maybe a visit on-screen from my sassy cat, JoJo.
If you are middle school or high school aged and need assistance in your ELA classes, I look forward to working with you to determine goals for our lessons. This can include studying for tests, writing and proof reading papers, learning vocabulary, preparing for the ACT, or other action items related to your education.
