About Blake
I earned a B.Arch and an M.Arch in Urban Design, equipping me with knowledge of architectural principles, spatial reasoning, and sustainable design practices. Over 7 years of teaching, I have helped students develop creative vision, technical skills, and design confidence. My teaching approach combines clear guidance, interactive projects, and structured feedback, ensuring learners build both competence and creativity. I tailor lessons to individual needs, incorporating exercises, design challenges, and project critiques to enhance creative and analytical abilities. Encouraging iterative improvement and independent thinking helps learners grow steadily while exploring their design potential. Architecture is most compelling when learners can translate ideas into functional, aesthetically pleasing spaces. My lessons cover design principles, spatial reasoning, material studies, drawing, model building, and sustainable architecture. I incorporate hands-on projects, case studies, and guided critiques to build creativity, technical knowledge, and conceptual understanding. Each session fosters confidence, imagination, and structured problem-solving while encouraging experimentation and curiosity.
Beginners focus on fundamental skills like basic sketching, proportion, simple layouts, and conceptual visualization to establish a solid foundation. Intermediate learners develop advanced drawing techniques, model construction, functional planning, and design evaluation, strengthening both creative and analytical skills. Advanced learners tackle portfolio development, project presentations, urban design, and sustainability considerations, integrating aesthetic sensibility with technical rigor. Lessons are tailored to gradually enhance both conceptual clarity and practical competence.
